Venue info

Built in 1901, The Adelphi sits in the shadow of the old Tetley’s Brewery – once the biggest set-up in Britain and now relocated to Wolverhampton. This superb watering hole was considered the brewery’s flagship and remains one of the city’s favourite boozers, beloved for its atmosphere, its unpretentiousness, its friendly staff and an interior that is a glorious tribute to Victoriana with decorative glass, terrazzo flooring, tiling… the lot. Tetley’s is on draught (of courses) alongside Timothy Taylor Landlord and Leeds Pale Ale, while the kitchen sends out generous plates of sausage and mash, fish and chips and the like to feed the Adelphi’s loyal boozing clientele. There's an urban beer garden and continental café too, but with the nearby traffic heading to and from the motorways, they are not as serene as you might wish.
