It’s great you’re thinking of joining Nightscard, or even better, you’re already a member and have some questions. Here we’ve collated some of the most frequently asked questions that we’ve been asked by our users, so you can spend more time enjoying Nightscard and your nights out.

 

About Nightscard

Nightscard is the only place to go when you’re planning or already on a night out. You can explore all things nightlife from bars and clubs, to cinemas and hotels. Wherever your night takes you, Nightscard has you covered.

You can certainly find most things on Google and the many other sites out there. In fact we obtain some of the venue information from Google, along with many other sources before manually verifying directly with the venues. The point of Nightscard is to make things easy for our users. We’ve covered everything you typically need to consider on a night out, such as location, music, arranging dates with friends, transport etc. and put them into a single, easy to use app. We will shortly be unlocking some great discounts and offers for our users as well – join us to keep up to date with these. The question for you is, why wouldn’t you use Nightscard?!

At present we’re working with a selection of venues to build a package of discounts and offers for our users. For the time being, you can use your Nightscard app to explore your city, and we’ll notify you when our discounts become available.

As our offering continues to grow there will be certain benefits that will be chargeable, but the Nightscard app is completely free to use and we plan to keep it that way.

Once you’ve downloaded the Nightscard app, it’s really easy to sign up. You can use your email address, and Facebook or Google accounts. That’s it, you can now start exploring the best your city has to offer. You can visit our Using Nightscard page for more information on how to use Nightscard along with all the app features.

We take the security of our users data very seriously. From encryption and regular backups, to firewalls and antivirus protection on our servers, we make sure we take every possible step to secure our users data. This allows us to fully comply with the Data Protection Act 2018.

Once our discounts and offers are available, you will be able to find these the venue listing pages. You will need to present your digital Nightscard when redeeming these discounts and offers at venues, which you can access by pressing the Nightscard button within the app.

We’re continually expanding the areas we cover. If you don’t see us in your area yet then bear with us, or help us by giving us a friendly nudge here.

Although the app and its data are stored on your smartphone, the Nightscard App requires access to our servers via the internet to function. Please ensure you have a strong active connection when using the app. If you appear to have a good connection, but are still experiencing issues, try closing and restarting the app and/or restart your device. If none of these work, then please contact us here and we’ll be happy to look into helping you resolve the issue.

The team at Nightscard are continually working to keep the venue information up to date, but we rely on the venues themselves, along with our users to inform us of any changes or errors. If for any reason your Nightscard doesn’t load through the app, it is likely caused by an error preventing your user information pulling through into the app. This can happen on rare occasions (usually when you haven’t used the app in some time) and can typically be resolved by logging out and back into the app, which will reset the connection of the app. If this does not work, then please contact us here and we’ll be happy to look into helping you resolve the issue.
