Venue info

The estimable Leeds Brewery – one of half a dozen microbreweries that have set up in the city in recent years – runs a growing stable of five pubs, with the Midnight Bell being the first and the flagship. Located in the now-fashionable Holbeck Urban Village (Leeds old industrial quarter), the historic building is an agreeable mix of beams, old brickwork and stone floors, with a contemporary concrete bar. Leeds Brewery’s three standard ales are on draught: Pale, Best and Midnight Bell, along with a changing list of guest ales, wines and spirits. They run a decent daytime and evening menu of contemporary pub grub staples (ham hock terrine, steak-frites, belly pork on mustard mash, beer-battered haddock and chips, knickerbocker glory, Yorkshire cheeses), and offer a pleasant outside courtyard too.
